Feds to withdraw death penalty for guilty plea

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) -- Federal prosecutors say a change of plea hearing is expected soon so a Vermont man who had been facing the death penalty for killing his niece can plead guilty and agree to a sentence of life without parole.
